Heavy Toll: Zelenskyy Announces 31,000 Ukrainian Soldiers Killed Since Invasion

31,000 Ukrainian soldiers have lost their lives in combat in the two years since Russia began its full-scale invasion, according to a statement made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday.
Zelenskyy claimed that the figure was much less than the administration of Russian President Vladimir Putin had stated.

The president of Ukraine stated he would not reveal the exact number of soldiers injured or reported missing. Additionally, he claimed that “tens of thousands of civilians” had perished in Ukrainian territory that was under occupation, but he added that precise numbers would not be known until the conflict was over.
